The Horizon
Beyond what
the eyes behold
Two questions have guided this strange, beautiful journey: what is home, and what is this trauma that lives within us, really? The answers arrived through slave dungeons, oceans that hold tears, the River of the Last Bath, and the land of a thousand hills.

THE HORIZON BEYOND *
“The land talks. The river guides. Dreams awake. We are far more connected than we realize — and there are living stories inside us that want to speak.”
Through years of research and embodied journeying across Africa and the diaspora, I follow the threads that colonization tried to cut — linking stories, symbols and teachings until the fabric shows itself whole again. Writing, art, storytelling, seeing and healing are the navigation tools. The destination is home.
01
Research
Years spent in archives, dungeons, rivers and villages — tracing lineage and the symbols cultures hold in common
02
Embodiment
The journey is walked, not only studied. Ancestral memory is met in the body, the dream and the land.
03
Weaving
Story, symbol and teaching are braided into something you can carry — and pass on.
Two horizons
The river is uncovering all sorts of things on the journey - including surfacing my original Achikeobi ancestor Obi Eze Oba
Inner Horizon
Thoughts, haiku & dispatches
Short-form reflections from the road — African haiku, essays and notes on what the river keeps surfacing.
